I am so amused by not just not needing to cook for myself while the others are away but actually having to have leftovers for breakfast one day in order to get them all out of the fridge in a timely fashion.

I ate a lot of pizza yesterday. Today I am realizing that everything left in the fridge is some kind of chicken and some kind of fries. I had chicken for all three meals, fries for two today, and that leaves only one kind of chicken in the fridge: half a pot of chicken soup, so I should have that for lunch tomorrow.

Tomorrow evening I'm helping Em J's mum and auntie with some healthcare admin. Em J and I planned to get takeaway for us all. Em J says her auntie doesn't care where we meet as long as she can have chicken.

This made me laugh when I read it the other day. It makes me laugh differently now. She can have chicken! But I'll be ordering something else.
