[137/365] what the post-pandemic world feels like for disabled/chronically ill people

"It was difficult to watch able-bodied people experience a small taste of what a chronically ill life is like and judge it as pointless, boring, and not worth living. Life never goes ‘back to normal’ for us and while I don’t expect able-bodied people to always understand that, some level of compassion and sympathy would be nice."

(I don't like it when all I've got is links for too long. I'm doing okay but don't have much to talk about; I'm ridiculously tired.)

I have definitely seen people saying similar stuff to Fortesa, although I've also seen people like me for whom online/remote stuff has been a huge challenge.

I hope we can fight to keep flexibility for a bit of both then things ease off. Not that I'm planning any ease off any time soon.

I wouldn't grudge any disabled person being extremely aggravated that the abled world just proved they can provide necessary accommodations and find ways of making work function on a global scale and then made a deliberate choice and decision to dismantle all of that.
