I don't know a whole lot about Britain but that description was clearly meant to appeal to a very different demographic than me, because all I get out of that is "this publication is run by a pack of highly privileged and oblivious brats with connections to white Gentile leftist halls of power." This is not just in reference to me being a non-Brit, because I know a lot of Koreans who would swoon at the implications of such a blurb.
I agree this is an excellent reference if nothing else, and as a side effect it was really revelatory to me as well. Thank you for going above and beyond to write this and disclose private details of your life to give us ableds an education. I only wish we didn't constantly force disabled people to face that dilemma between personal disclosure and continued ableist violence.
