Sometimes it's better to light a flamethrower than curse the darkness

I walked under the railway arches at the station just when a train that had stopped there pulled away.

And the terrible noise of Northern's terrible trains starting up made me so sad because I miss it. I'm getting proper Folsom Prison Blues about this. It is a lonesome sound though. I got buses to uni and work so the train sounds like fun: nights out, time with friends, other cities. So I miss it because I miss all those things.

I'm trying not to dwell on this pandemic-grief shit. But even when I'd gone to the pharmacy and started to walk to work, I couldn't get this stupid noise out of my head for far too long. I hadn't heard it in weeks.
