Sometimes it's better to light a flamethrower than curse the darkness

I worked outside on the patio most of the day, and once work was done I took the laptop and mouse and headphones inside and refilled my water bottle and went back outside to do the same thing with just the radio for company. "The same nice thing but with less computer" is ideal for me.

Dinner was a team effort: mother_bones dissected the rotisserie chicken (wobbly bits for Gary, meat with no bones or skin for me), diffrentcolours went to the store for needed ingredients for the potato salad and mojitos and got the cheese, crackers, salad, etc out while I made the potato salad and mojitos.

My potato salad is a throwback to the days when I hated mayonnaise; its dressing is Greek yogurt and lemon juice. The recipe I got it from recommended cucumbers with that but I've found spring onions work too; that's what D could find in the store today so that's what we had. And mint fresh from the huge plants in the garden. That's what gave me the idea for mojitos...

I collected so many big strawberries from their raised bed, after I'd hung laundry out to dry which is just nearby, that MB noticed and called from the back door "Do you want a little bowl?" I needed it! There's only one strawberry left in the bowl tonight. We ate the first ones still warm from the sunshine, mere moments after they'd stopped being attached to the plant, with the expected ecstatic noises.
