This Monday is very Monday
May. 13th, 2024 04:38 pmI did get about a whole hour of peace after D and MB left the house this afternoon.
That is over now, which is why I'm just writing here when I should be working for another half-hour. Can't concentrate.
Gary was very concerned when people were packing and clearly getting ready to go, he always is. When D went out the door, Gary wanted to follow him so I got his leash on him and he was happily sniffing his favorite bit of the wall across the road by the time the car with the other two in it actually pulled away.
Gary looked around for them when we got back in from our walk, and then went for a nap somewhere upstairs so I could get on with some computer chores I was doing as a break from one of the most stressful and tiring work days I've had lately. (And on three hours' sleep; is it bedtime yet?)
I failed to do a Tesco order because the website won't let me log in, and I sent another email in relation to this (I still have no confidence this will ever be sorted out, because I can't give them a utility bill or anything that proves I live at this address that I want them to decouple from the company, but I also had a little rant about how much it sucks that I can be signed up for it with no proof at all that I've consented or even been consulted, and I'm the one who has to jump through all these hoops to get free of it).
In less frustrating news, I did actually manage to fill in an online form requesting a hearing test now that SpecSavers do those for people at home too.
And my stack of "paperwork I need to look through," which reminds me about all this stuff except Tesco, also reminds me I should look at some stuff about my union's AGM and voting before Friday.
It all sounds kinda boring but now that I'm just about done with work I am so looking forward to a boring day.
