29 If you were given an extra day every year to do whatever you want, what would you do?
Well, I've sort of just had an "extra" day, and I think I spent it pretty well.
I woke up early, and I didn't get out of bed right away but I also didn't stay in bed so long I felt bad about it, which I sometimes am prone to doing when I have too much unstructured time. I did some work on the first of my two midterm essays (I'm finding it very weird that essays are not a terrifying and life-consuming thing, after last month! they're back to normal amounts of demanding and difficulty but normal feels weird now).
I went to the Portico Library with a couple people from my writing group, who it was great to catch up with even if they did keep misgendering me -- the group is an offshoot of the WI I used to be in, and even though it's not associated with that now, it is still all women except me, and it's mostly not people I know really well so maybe they forget or maybe they're just suffering from the "women and non-binary" problem you all so eloquently helped me understand the other week.
Amd then I helped take some stuff to the tip, I had excellent Chinese food for dinner and watched Picard, and now I'm going to bed!
