Thanks for all your kind comments the last couple of days. I don't have as much to say today, which at least means nothing bad has happened, heh.
I had therapy and an utterly pointless video call. I got a wedding present (for one of the kids I used to babysit for!) packaged and posted. The walk to the postbox was so nice I went to a further away one, and I daydreamed about doing my video call from the garden but my laptop battery wouldn't last that long. Shame, sitting in the garden would've been a better use of my time!
mother_bones and I started building a new but of Ikea furniture. I got all but one of the locking nuts to work, but then was defeated by drawer rails I was worried about getting wrong. We gotta save some fun for a future day!
Gary was especially bouncy and even snuggly, which was nice to see. I think after
innerbrat at the weekend and then People In His Garden pouring a concrete base yesterday, it'd all been a lot for him lately and he was delighted to have a more normal day. He was very brave about going near the concrete too, something he absolutely refused to do yesterday.
mother_bones said with another dog she'd have worried about them getting on the concrete before it has cured, but with Gary it was more "how to get him to go outside at all after the workmen had left" yesterday.
The Tesco delivery appeared during my pointless meeting but meant we could have our usual shopping-delivery-day dinner of pizza and salad, which was an appealingly easy thing to contemplate when I was ready to give up on the Ikea stuff!

Date: 2021-08-04 12:06 pm (UTC)I'm glad Gary is perkier at least.
I built my one and only piece of Ikea furniture a couple of months ago and drawer rails defeated me too - I couldn't get the drawer to slide all the way in with the bolts to stop it coming right out attached so in the end I gave up and left them off. And it took me ages to get them lined up right in the first place.
