Sometimes it's better to light a flamethrower than curse the darkness

It amuses me that when D said the other day it was his third week of work I was thinking surely it's only been two... but then realized there was

• the week where I worked and slept on the day bed (where he got me home from the hospital about 12 hours before his new job started)

• the week where I slept in and worked from my bed (after I had the surgery that Monday)

• and now a week where I've been able to sleep in my bed and work at my desk (as long as my leg is propped up)

But then soon after I said something about how it had only been two weeks since I broke my ankle. Nah, it's three. One of each of these.

My next checkup is on Friday. I'm really hoping I'll be able to get around a little easier after it.
