I'm so annoyed that a Department for Transport report that would be directly hugely immediately relevant to my day job is being buried because it says the opposite of what Rishi Sunak wanted it to say when he commissioned it: that "low traffic neighborhoods" are popular and effective.

Ugh, super annoying! It seems like such a boring and useful thing to make conspiracy theories about.

As an American, I continue to love the UK usage of the word "scheme" though.

I wish we could see the original cos I'm still seeing disabled-anti-LTN people shouting about how it's probably being misrepresented and lies (the Graun does say some LTNs haven't been as good as others, and some need/ed tweaking).

Given how bad almost all UK media reporting is these days, unless I can see the source, I'm wary even if I do believe it doesn't say what Sunak wanted it to - which is typical of this fucking horrific government.

Ugh, yet another example of politics interfering with the promulgation of useful data. Of course, you would also think that the data coming out would help the politicians change their positions to be more in line with what is popular and desired, but there's almost always a "didn't you forget to ask someone?" meme involved, where the objectors are the people whose money funds politics.

It seems a foolish decision to align yourself with the multi-ton polluters and the people who drive them as of they were invincible, but.. *meaningful glances in all directions, including their own*
